The New “Foodpress” Innovation!!All Thanks To wordpress.com And the Food Bloggers!!

So, guys!!Heard about the new step taken up by wordpress.com? It’s about the new introduction -“Foodpress”. For people who already know about it, I am sure you must be pretty as much excited as I am, being passionate about food. For the ones who are hearing about it for the first time from me, I feel lucky enough to surprise you with this news.
Actually, wordpress.com is very much impressed with its bloggers who have shown a special interest in publishing thousands of recipes and food stories every day. And therefore, it has come up with a new site “foodpress.com,” which will sieve the site wordpress.com and will pick up the food related entries and put it for us on this new federated website. I feel that it will be fun discussing over the posts separately, where, all food lovers will accumulate to share views and recipes. We should thank wordpress.com for giving us this interesting arena and we should also thank the bloggers who published such food related posts and opened a way for us, leading us. Thank you guys!!
Are you one of them? Though I never published any such blog, I am very much interested in this new area of interest and also looking forward to participate. I assume I’ll find your posts there too, once you have read this blog of mine. But wait!!Before that, you have to become one of the wordpress.com bloggers, as, the announcement has made clear a point that Foodpress, which is in partnership with the publishing company Federated Media, will only select the posts written by wordpress.com bloggers.
What are you thinking? Is it about the selection of the blogs? Ok!! Wordpress.com has an answer to this. Even I was wondering about it. But the announcement includes the information that Editor Jane Maynard has been given the responsibility to select the blogs. But I guess that there will be some automated filter work as well. So, SEO comes into scene again.
We can look at this innovation in two views regarding the effects. What two views?
Look, if you are excited like me for this new site, we have reasons for this curiosity. We are getting an exposure. Another way of entertainment, as, it is a bit different from the technological field. Also wordpress.com may benefit from this, as; the blogger’s following could increase.
Then what issues?
Readers driving away from the regular blogs can become a concern. Also the bloggers might lose some of their subscribers. But then, we cannot close the new options because of such insecurities. Rather, we can manage everything together and that’s what is only to be kept in mind. However, everyone has his or her own area of interest. You might be interested in food blogging while your friend might show his liking towards blogs related to conversion services, new technologies, etc. So, I think it won’t be wise on our part to be judgmental at the time when Foodpress has just crawled in. So what do you say? I think we should wait and actively participate.
